Norway, sometime in the future. Anton is sixteen and lives in a dome - a human-engineered environment large enough to house a small city. Anton is a privileged and well-liked kid, on track to make his family proud. But he is also tired of being good, and in the midst of a raging, confusing puberty.
Emma lives on the outside of Anton’s dome. She’s sixteen too, and belongs to a clan comprised of her extended family. As a child, sometimes Emma accompanied her mother into the dome where she got some part-time work. Emma used to dream of living like the kids inside. But lately, she’s been feeling a radical, righteous anger. And that anger, that indignation, is shared by many communities on the outside.
Emma and Anton meet in the first episode, under scandalous circumstances, and an adventure ensues. Will they get to be together, despite their families’ best efforts to keep them apart? Through danger, cliffhangers and abundant humour, it is Anton and Emma’s romance and all the hurdles it encounters that is the core of Dome 16, season 1.
Production Information
Dome 16 is a new drama series made by Tordenfilm for NRK. The series consists of 10 episodes of 20 minutes each and will premiere on NRK in the autumn of 2022.

The Story

Dome 16 is an exciting and thought-provoking series about young people who find themselves on different sides of the class divide in an imaginary future. The privileged few live in climate-controlled domes - while those outside live in the remnants of an ecological collapse.
Series Creators
Thomas Seeberg Torjussen is the series creator, screenwriter and co-director of Dome 16. Thomas has previously created the series Norwegian Cozy (2011) and ZombieLars (2017-2019), and was co-author of Valkyrien (2017). Daniel Voldheim (Norwegian Cozy, I Am Easy To Find, Radiohead: If You Say The Word) is co-director and DOP.
The series' producers are Ingunn Sundelin and Eric Vogel from Tordenfilm, for NRK.
Co-producers are Storyline Studios, The Oslo Film Fund and Big Blue Productions (Netherlands).
